Walgreens at the Old Post Office

Walgreens brought its downtown teams together in 200,000 square feet of Chicago’s Old Main Post Office, the first big company to move into the landmark after its renovation.  Stantec laid out the floors like a city, with neighborhoods, gathering hubs as well as a diagonal main street cutting across the vast post office floor plates.  Murals tie each area back to Chicago, from a Pilsen streetscape to hand drawn skylines, and a deep blue mosaic anchors one end.  Gensler led the renovation of the building itself.
