Back in April of 2016, I started photographing this series of flora still lifes in a little corner of our dining room.  Since then, I’ve explored varying compositions and lighting esthetics, shot in black and white as well as color of stems both freshly cut and dried too.  I’ve worked in digital and large format film, printed in inkjet, silver gelatin, cyanotype and platinum/palladium.  I’ve had so much fun with this project and I don’t think I’ll ever be done with it.  It’s been such a cathartic journey and having the space to continue the exploration has, I’m sure, been hugely beneficial to my sanity.
