December 2010

We don’t get much opportunity to do portraits at CBP, but when Brian Kane, the deisgner of Herman Miller’s new “Swoop” line dropped by our recent shoot to see how things were going we couldn’t resist… Brian was a great sport as we convinced him to sit for us and put up with all our fussing, styling and was very patient as we reset some lighting.  I doubt either of us suspected at the time that this would end up on the front of HM’s website.  Just goes to show, you never know what’s gonna happen when you step onto one of my sets.

Just playing with the Zeiss 85mm f/1.4 ZF on the Red.  That’s really lovely shallow focus.  And to think that I’ve spent the bulk of my career shooting at f/22.  I think I’m falling in love with fast lenses!
